The Haps

We went to Hogle Zoo last week and saw some metalic animals lounging about. Oh and we saw some real ones too. In fact I felt like I was in the wild when these two penguins starting fighting BIG TIME right in front of us. It was crazy and I honestly think they were trying to kill each other. I bet they were fighting over some girl penguin... afterall it is that time of year. All in all it was a good time. Hogle Zoo has done a lot of work sprucing the place up lately.

Asher has decided that crawling isn't good enough for him and now he pulls himself up to get what he wants. Luckily the only real things he wants can still be kept out of reach: Laptop, remotes and cell phones. He is still obsessed with water and the first time he pulled himself up was so that he could pull himself over the edge of the bathtub because he was so excited to get in the water. He did it so quick it was like he's been practicing behind our backs or something.

We won a free two night stay in Mesquite so we took advantage of that over Memorial Day weekend. We had a good time. Unfortunately the only pics we got were of Asher smashing his face against his Pack n Play. He thinks it's pretty funny to make faces at us when we are trying to get him to go to bed. He is truly a character and I have a feeling he is going to be one of those little boys who likes to get into mischeif. Oh wait, that's all little boys. :)

Anyway, we had fun in Mesquite and the drive was easy peasy with the kid (much to my joy). We ate at buffets and swam in the pool. We even played BINGO and we each had 8 cards to keep track of. I kept pace with all the old ladies who play BINGO all the time and are on a first name basis with the casino employees. We didn't win any money but it only cost $3 so it was worth the fun.
