Laughing at my lullabies

So I am trying to decide what it means that Asher laughs at me everytime I try to sing him a lullaby. The best part is I'm trying to get him to get tired and it totally backfires. He just looks at me and laughs which then makes me laugh. It is adorable, yet I am always left wondering... is he thinking "Give it up Mom, you sound ridiculous."

The little stinker.

That's better than Emma's response. She will actually cover my mouth and tell me to be quiet. I have long since given up.

Well, just keep trying. I've heard you sing many times and you sound good to me. Most kids like to sing songs with or listen to their folks sing songs to them. After all, you guys once told me I sounded just like Helen Reddy when I was singing "I Am Woman!" He probably knows he gets a hilarious response from you in reaction to his hilarity and it just makes it that much more fun. Love you Shell!

Giggle Phase. And Liz, he went through the "No! Be Quiet Mom!" Phase too. Persevere! As of three nights ago, Clark has started to sing all the songs with me and IT IS SO CUTE!

Tell Asher that if he peeps cutely through his crib bars like that ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to fly to Utah just to snatch him up and give him a slobbery zerbit kiss. And THEN who will be laughing?
