We've been busy, which explains the lack of posting lately. Here are some of the things we've been up to lately....
Working in the yard.... as always!! Sheldon and I leveled an area of our yard for my pool and we also figure it is a good first step towards preparing for grass next spring.
As we were digging we discovered what we hoped was buried treasure. But instead the crazy lady who used to live here had burried five cinder blocks. RANDOM! (look at my cute vegetable garden in the background!)
Right before we went to Vegas our basement flooded. :( It was stressful, but a bunch of men from our ward came over and helped us rip up the carpet and move the furniture. Luckily it's covered under our home owners insurance. We just have to figure out when we are going to finish the room between now and when the baby comes! Hmmmm... it will be interesting.
Our NASTY carpet. It stunk SOOOO bad. The carpet was totally trashed.

Ironically enough, the day after our basement flooded we had already scheduled the installation of our NEW carpet for upstairs. We LOVE the new carpet. Not only does it look 500 trillion times better, it is so squishy and soft on my feet. I'm SOOO happy with it.
The day after we got the new carpet we took off for VEGAS BABY!!!! We went with our good friends Dallas and Angie, & Stephanie and Randy.

We stayed at a time share that Sheldon and I booked with our RCI points (We FINALLY got some use out of those things!) Our place was really nice and we enjoyed the pool as you can see below. I of course was not a part of the tower, but instead took the photo.
We had to leave around 5 am so that we could return our sweet ride (we rented a minivan) and I had to work a half day that afternoon. We were all a little sleepy. 
Donner Lake
Three days after we got back from Vegas we took off for California (I told you we've been busy!)to spend some time with my family.
Here is the picture of the lake on the 4th of July. We watched fireworks over the water. It was SOOO fun!
While we were there my family had a little baby shower for us. We got some awesome stuff that will really help out!
So, after the shower we were a little sleepy from all our travels and excitement.
Next step... we have to finish the bedroom downstairs. It should be interesting.

that last picture of you and sheldon is so cute! i'm so excited for you to have your baby! fun times, fun times. i'm sorry about your pipe breaking. that's no bueno. but at least it was covered by the insurance. and you can get some better carpet and stuff now. :)
